landed in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.
APC presidential candidate arrives at Abuja airport
Buhari, who is running for the presidential seat on
the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
returns to await the official announcement of the
results of presidential election by Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s election body says it awaits to
announce the first results of Saturday’s strongly
contested presidential election on Tuesday, March
31.

Nigeria’s incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan is
facing a strong challenge from former military ruler
Buhari.
The UN has commended the election despite
technical difficulties, protests and violence related to
Boko Haram sect.
The latest result showed that APC leads in Adamawa,
Kano, Jigawa, Ondo, Oyo, while Jonathan has won in
Enugu and and Ekiti states.
